I watched original Candyman. Best horror movie ever, but this? No. This re-boot movie is suck because movie show very political and very bia against the white people as stereotype racist. All cops are racist, really? Yes I get the police brutality still happened today but come on. Police brutality happened to all races by corrupt police officers across the United States. Both good and bad people applied to all races well as good and bad apple to every law enforcers. Actors in this movie doing good job but same time emotional bland. This movie rated R, yet act like PG-13 because movie didn't show the gore part. This movie was supposed to be about presequel of Candyman's life origin, instead we get a new main character that later found out he is chosen by Candyman then he died at near the end of movie, joined four other Candyman ghost whom being victim of corrupt by white men justice system which first three Candyman wasn't mentioned nor show their appearance in original Candyman movie. Isn't original Candyman kill children and anyone who called out his name though mirror regardless of races? Not selected like one part in scene where black girl in bathroom is being spared. Why in ending, the new Candyman didn't go to kill spree when the huge second round of police backup showed up? This movie isn't only insulting to white people but they also make gay couples actors act in stereotype way. I can imagine LGBT community will not find this appeal to them.
