Been playing FF games since 6 and this has to be one of my favourites to date. I loved the original and the remake has done a great job of honouring everything that I loved about it. It's hard to explain what a true final fantasy game but I will try to and keep it spoiler free. For me Final Fantasy is giving me characters that I am emotionally invested in, something the remake does brilliantly by giving them a voice. It's the awesome music that fits every scenario from the emotional scenes, awesome battle music and of course anything Chocobo. If you've never played a Final Fantasy game, this is the a perfect way to get into the series and gives a good escape from FPS games for a while to just sit back and enjoy an excellent story.
