Almost embarrassing to watch. A seemingly unending series of excruciating conversations between grotesque stereotypes in which one party is shallow, self-obsessed and stupid and the other invariably fails to check them. The writers seem to think that it is only fair to swap these roles equitably so that none of the major players has a real or believable character. Each takes turn at being as thick as a pile of short planks and as thick-skinned as a rhino. Unfortunately, none of them gets a turn at being amusing. Two series of this show have made me almost smile twice. Still, that makes it infinitely funnier than Corner Gas, and Stevie is a saving grace.
