Blame the victim story!!! Truly awful and poorly written story. Lots of plot holes. And the terrible ending is all about blaming, isolating, and punishing the victims of abuse. Both Suzanne and Mae are punished because of how they are forced to deal with their horrific trauma, of which they seek help for and are completely disregarded by they're supposed loved ones. Their loved ones don't care at all about what they went through or are currently going through. Especially the self-centered husband who keeps secrets and lies while risking all of their money and his daughters college funds!!! At the same time he is blaming his wife and Mae for everything that goes wrong in his life. Everything after episode 4 is awful and extremely detrimental to actual victims of abuse.
