i had really high expectations for this movie but unfortunately i was disappointed. there wasn’t really a plot to the movie, and i understand that it’s supposed to be about priscilla’s life, and not really a movie with a rising action, climax, and resolution, but it could have been done in a more interesting way. it was really slow and it felt like nothing happened. also this was supposed to be a movie about priscilla’s life but it was all about elvis. the other parts of priscilla’s life excluding elvis, such as her relationship with marco garibaldi and the son she had with him were not mentioned whatsoever. for the movie to actually be named priscilla, it should have started with her birth and ended with her in present day, and not only been about her relationship with elvis presley. also, a lot of things happened in the movie which we weren’t given context for, and i had to do research on elvis and priscilla’s lives to really understand, which defeats the purpose of the movie. however, i award this movie 3 stars rather than 1 because i think that jacob elordi and cailee spaeny did an excellent job at playing elvis and priscilla. also the outfits and general aesthetic of the movie was lovely.

I would rate this movie 0 stars, but, first of all, i can’t and, second of all, i wouldn’t because the beautiful scenery and aesthetic aspect as well as the fish in that one scene brings this movie up to 1 star. the characters had no personality or depth whatsoever, no backstory was ever given for any character. the movie was super boring and had countless unnecessary scenes and i continuously asked myself how long it would be until the movie was over because it just dragged on for so long. also i never had any clue what was going on throughout the movie; no context was ever given in the scenes. i was literally lost from the first scene to the last. this movie has no plot whatsoever; nothing happens. some people might enjoy that but personally i was anticipating an interesting storyline from this movie. probably the worst part about this movie is the pedophilia and pervertedness from one of the main characters oliver. this movie romanticizes pedophilia and anyone who classified this as romance is disgusting. lastly, the whole « call me by your name » concept is really stupid. i think the director tried to make it romantic and deep but it didn’t really work. overall, would not recommend.
