It should be noted that I have never read any Colleen Hoover books. I had no idea what the movie was about. Although, after watching I feel the movie completely missed the point and did not bring enough awareness for DV. I felt I was watching a cable TV show with the amount of product placement demonstrated. I feel Blake Lively is promoting a fun romantic movie whereas Justin Baldoni is the only one advocating for this movie to reach DV victims and helping them feel seen.
