Ok so after a while of reading the reviews, most are rubbish. This movie is worth your time!! Certainly one of my favourites since 2020. There are a lot of good messages in Turning Red, and the main reason people are upset about it is because Mei's mum talks a very small amount of period. Personally, this film was obviously targeted for girls 10+, as the majority of characters in the film are girls and is meant to be A FUNNY GIRL MOVIE!!! A lot of things are relatable, I mean the film is set in 2002, what else did you expect? I would say if your child isn't aware of what puberty is it might come as a bit of a shock to them to see this film LOL.
