Decent fighting game core mechanics for offense but extremely few defensive mechanics. Interesting simple control system that lets you NOT use motion inputs, if you want. Basic single-player content. Awesome online netcode. Completely broken roster of characters with trash zoning characters better off in a run 'n' gun game and characters with odd hurtboxes and the characters that advantageous framedata. If you don't pick the most broken characters your giving yourself a handicap. Honestly, more I have played more I got bored and disliked. More average weekend fighter than excellent long term fighter.

Fighter with a confused control system. The devs mixed auto combos into what would be a "normal" 2D control system. No commitment from the devs to go all in with a fighter with no auto combos or totally with auto combos. I completely loathe this fighting game trope, it's getting really old now and it should NOT be a core design feature for casual players or lazy combo creators. Moon system is forgettable and character balancing is a mess. I have played better fighters even back in the 90s. Sorry but this is just for the diehard fans only.

Average. Just been done before.

One of the most overrated fighters I have ever played. A fighter designed to be over complex for over complex sake. So it alienates SO many players that could be playing this game. It makes Strive a fighter just for pro players and hardcore players. And even though the game tries to teach you how to play the game with lots of training mode options unless your a pro or hardcore player you will never understand them or make the most of them because of design. Hype made out that Strive's gameplay and mechanics were truly special, I was massively disappointed especially with the Roman Cancel system with gets so underused, I wish I never brought Strive now, it was a waste of my money.

One of the worst modern age fighting games I have played. It's SO simple and basic, it's insulting to players. This so called fighting game must be avoided at all costs. I would give it a rating of no stars but I had to give one star to post this, avoid, avoid, avoid, avoid, avoid, avoid avoid avoid, avoid, avoid, avoid, avoid.

If you like a fighter where mindless button mashing is the core gameplay mechanic, GBVS is for you but no fighting game would buy fighter for that reason. GBVS is a TRASH fighter, your be able to see and do anything in the game 1-2 days. Not worth a purchase.

Boss run and cut scenes with class aesthetics for an indie. But with first play through gameplay is very trial and error and once Boss patterns are learnt replayability value plummets. So depending on your gaming type is whether your be a repeat player of the game or not. Me, I enjoyed it just a couple of times then I forgot about it. I just needed a bit more than bosses.
