I was hesitant on watching this movie because of the hype of it even though I grew up being surrounded by Barbie everything....I even watched this movie knowing it was overly-hyped to begin with just to be further disappointed... This movie is MEGA CRINGE. The only good part was the mother wanting to bond with her daughter, but even that got lost in the midst of the cringe singing, crying and the focus on the awkward acting. As soon as I saw Michael Cera and Will Ferrell in this, I should have known it was going to be ridiculous anyway...
