I am not sure yet how the show fits in canon as I have not seen every series over the years but this series is so much fun and enjoyable. My 4 year old son and I watch the show together and I only hope they make more episodes of this series. We started watching yesterday and we are already to episode 7 or 8. I would love to binge-watch the whole season, but doing short 4-5 episode binge sittings, I think, is perfect for savoring the show. I first got into pokemon in my sophomore year in HS with the original Gameboy game. A long time ago, lol. I forgot which version. It's been great keeping tabs on the franchise over the years. With this new animation style mastered, I hope that Netflix or whoever is making the show will keep up with demand and make more seasons! It's such a fun and great family show!
