The absolute highlight of this film is John Wayne's performance as the Roman centurion guarding Jesus's crucifixion, when he says the immortal words, "Truly this was the son of God!" It would not be an overstatement to say this scene needs to be watched to be believed and it makes watching this film worthwhile.
