Little did I know , "Jane the virgin" was exactly what I wanted , it was just perfect for me!
As a girl who could always relate more to a female centric story with strong female leads , As a lover of Marquez and his magical realism , As an admirer of life and its colors , bonds and family ties , and above all ,of love which overcomes anything and everything.
Though many happenings are quite unrealistic , much like in telenovelas than in real life ,but are most enjoyable , the show is rich in emotional ,soulful moments that makes our hearts glow ,filling up some empty spaces. In todays' world , where people are essentially selfish , totally ignorant of the feelings of others, even within families,, i guess Jane the virgin really shows us something., even the greater lessons of inclusivity. But the core of the show is the strength of the family bond , how family always has your back, and how that is all we need . Though emotional and romantic , it is fun and entertaining , also mysterious and curious with an appalling criminal side. The most interesting characters for me were Petra , she's a lovable antagonist (Her character is soo one-of-a-kind ,sharp and clearly developed), and Rogelio , the cutest person ever.#GoRo , he is just so fine a character and the most likable. And though I just wanted Raf and Jane to be together somehow throughout, I feel Michael is the perfect one for Jane and her family . The only thing which irritated me was when Michael came back , he actually deserved a better life than in the ranch . His death was shocking , but it seemed a better ending , how he married Jane and loved her to his last breath. He died with his heart full of love and the happiness that she chose him forever. Jane , Raf and Mateo were so meant to be family. So,, overall the journey was wonderful and worth every minute for me. Such a delight it was to spend some time with the Villanuevas!!
