Given the subject matter it involved they kept it tame by comparison to other films with the same subject matter which I appreciated. Johnny Depp was great as the King Louis LV. The actress who played Jeanne du Barry was great too. Even though it was only in french to keep it authentic to the original time and place. It came with english subtitles thankfully. Well worth the watch in my opinion.

An amazing masterpiece . It's beauty and the beast retelling with a twist. Lots of heart and emotion. Absolutely stunning visuals and eng dub voice actress singing for belle/suzu is heartbreaking beautiful. Another win for Mamoru Hosoda.
