I thought this movie was cheaply thrown together & unnecessary changes were made. As a mother of a redheaded child, who resembles Ariel, I feel like the girl chosen for Ariels character was not a good fit. I know Disney wants to be more inclusive, but I do feel that our black brothers & sisters deserve a better story, something personal to them & that they are passionate about. A new story, that can be dedicated to them and everyone can share their excitement. I was also blown away that they chose to have a female voice fir scuttle, and Sebastián as a real life crab was just scary. The fact that Eric had parents, was just unreal too because in the original, he didn't, and because he didn't, was why he was on the search for a wife.
