Beautifully shot, nuanced characters played exceptionally well. A tense, intriguing and prophetic plot. Would I call it horror? Without the teeth, no. Kept my attention. Which very few films do these days, unless I am watching in the cinema and have no option to look elsewhere. I'm assuming it's fictionalised proximity to reality triggered all the hate. That and the to-be-expected Obama hate and denial of racism or any wrongdoing characteristic of aggressive keyboard warriors who share a perspective that splits human value by cultural lineage. It isn't easy to make a film that steps so close to reality without getting cliched. I won't say more. Watch it first. Then ask yourself whether anyone benefits from such immense social division? Chaos is how the world started, whether it ends that way is still up for play. An apology, curse and warning rolled into one.
