Shirley McLaine essentially plays god (not just a goddess) in this role where every man she loves reinvents himself based on what he perceives as her ideal, and they all die trying. A real twist on a feminist role. Despite her jaw-dropping outfits, it’s really all the male actors bringing the eye candy. Hurray for Hollywood.
