This show has the wit and sly humor of a mediocre sitcom. Characters are predictable, silly coincidences abound and the story gets lost among one dimensional characters (except the star, Sandra Oh, who is at least allowed to give some depth to her role). Her kid is predictably troubled, her underlings predictably either foolish or misguided and the plot, while perhaps realistic, just not that interesting except for the love of educating people. Silly hints at future issues (Hitler salute, telling Sandra's character that no one ever asks the chair to speak so she should go ahead and smoke some pot) are simple, cheap, sitcom plot thickeners. I tried a few of these to no avail, done, don't waste your time.
