As a man, I recently watched the Barbie movie with an open mind, hoping to appreciate its storytelling and artistic qualities. Unfortunately, I found it difficult to relate to the movie's narrative and themes, resulting in a less enjoyable viewing experience overall.
From the start, it was evident that the Barbie movie was primarily designed for a young female audience, with its emphasis on princesses, fairy tales, and vibrant, pastel-colored landscapes. While there's nothing inherently wrong with targeting a specific demographic, the movie's focus on stereotypically feminine interests made it challenging for male viewers to connect with the characters and the world they inhabit.
I recommend Oppenheimer. Man just watch Oppenheimer.
