A superb series that is historically accurate, non political and revealing of the duplicity of the USAs leaders in getting, and keeping the USA involved. The mix of perspectives from the veterans on both sides, the unflinching critique of Washington, Hanoi and Saigon and the divisions in the USA makes for a riveting watch. The backdrop of civil rights action, corruption in South Vietnam, and ruthless, single minded pursuit of victory in North Vietnam are covered without glossing anything over. Divisions in society, and right down to family level are covered, shifts in public opinion, contentious objection v patriotic belief are contrasted without decrying either. If watching this doesnt fill you with desperate sadness for what happened to all sides, to all involved then its time to stop living life through a partisan lens.
