Outsourcing this game really made it suffer, not just graphics-wise, but innovation-wise. I can’t help but getting this nagging feeling that this was a missed opportunity. I find myself reminiscing to the Pokémon Let’s Go series, which was considerably more polished in terms of general graphics. This game is so visibly rushed that some of the 3D models look as if they were PS1 models, yes, THAT bad. Gen 4 is one of my favorites and I can’t underscore how much I was expecting remakes for this Generation, suffice to say, these don’t really do the OG games justice. And I honestly wish I was exaggerating.
