Hanks is perfect in his subtle reactions to each blink-of-an-eye-situation, and if that was CGI rather than done with a big model, then that water landing must be the pinnacle of the art. In many respects this is a courtroom drama and I hope the transcript of the actual hearing, when Sully brings on the insertion of 35 seconds into the simulations, is close to what this dramatization portrays, because for me, as a retired railroad officer who has handled major accident investigations, what led up to that moment in the hearing is exactly what's wrong with NTSB and its charter to hound and criticize other Federal agencies--we don't need that extra layer of regulation, but just an effective, independent inspector general in the agencies themselves (FRA, FAA).
