I am seeing a lot of irrational bashing about this show based on a flawed understanding of the Star Wars world and the context of this show.
Was it the best Star Wars on-screen piece? No, but it was definitely a neat story that opened the universe for a lot more exploration. First, what I did not like:
1. The seemingly whimsical swapping of the twins in the last few episodes. Good goes bad and bad goes kinda good.
2. Wookie Jedi should have gotten more use (I see a spin-off, though)
3. The whole concept of what the Jedi did 16 years ago that was so bad kind of got lost in the story.
Now, let's address some of the comments that people made that clearly shows they didn't pay attention or lack understanding of the Star Wars world as a whole.
1. Yes, Darth Maul was the first known sighting of a Sith in thousands of years. But, Qimir only said, "You might call me a Sith," and he only said it to one person, Sol. No one else knew it nor did they ever show Sol telling anyone else he was a Sith. Sol died with that knowledge, so Maul remains the first known sighting.
2. People complaining about the FORCE and Magic overlap. Everyone wields the Force differently. The witches clearly wield is in a more magic-like way. Nothing wrong with that.
3. They never officially proved the girls were made of the Force -- only accused it. There is more exploration to come in future seasons.
