I wasn't sure what to expect when I heard about this. I had played the games when I was younger, but I asked myself "how does one adapt a car combat game into a TV series?" Well, the result ended up better than expected. It's the right level of camp that the old PS1 games had, mixed with some character arcs (that somehow worked).
