I absolutely love the Strike series….. up till now….The first chapter starts out great, as expected, then dies spectacularly! It becomes sooooo tedious and boring, it’s unbelievably difficult to get through, the few relatively good parts so far are few and far between. I got the audiobook to listen to while driving, which is my job, but I definitely do not recommend operating a vehicle while trying to listen to it. So far I’ve only managed to listen to the first couple hours as I’m afraid I’ll fall asleep. Sorry Jo, but so far this one is a complete dud, I’ll have to get back to it maybe at a later date as I don’t have the patience to slog through it anytime soon. If I bother to get back to it in a reasonable amount of time, and if it improves significantly, I’ll update the review Oh, and by the way, I have zero issues with Jo or anything she’s allegedly said or done, this is just my honest opinion of the book so far
