ESPN decision to simultaneously try to broadcast today's NCAA Women's Final game and also Taurasi etc. on the left third of the screen was a total
disaster, ranking up there with the long ago decision to end a Superbowl
Game early to cut to the movie "Heidi." What was ESPN thinking?
Besides showing no respect for the two teams playing, Iowa and LSU,
- isn't the game itself why we are watching? - the Taurasi etc. simulcast
was no distracting I had to turn off the audio altogether, thereby making
it impossible to follow the game closely, tracking number of fouls, etc.
This bone-headed decision made the Women's Final the afterthought.
All the chit-chat should have been saved for half-time, not during the
game. Isn't a national final game enough in itself? Shame on ESPN.
