Gillighan Snap

I haven’t played a new Pokémon game since Sword so my expectations were not very high, but I bought scarlet to play with my buddies on day one. I’ve been having a fantastic time with this game!! I play on an older switch and haven’t had many glitches or issues with the frame rate outside of outbreaks with lots of Pokémon spawned in. The smaller pokedex still feels constricting, but the Pokémon that are added are pretty solid choices!! I’m not the biggest fan of some newer designs, but farigiraf and skeledirge have stolen my heart. Some parts of the story are legitimately tough since I haven’t been doing much grinding but more exploring. The animations are fantastic and there’s a pretty solid amount of care put into this game!! My only complaint it the simple environments, since the large flat landscapes are very crude and have odd textures. Overall, it’s been a really fun Pokémon experience!
