This is a simple, nicely written book with recipes for creating popular dishes from Turkey.
Let's face it, we go to Turkish restaurants/takeaways for Doner's, Charcoal grilled Meat and Fish. Not home cooked food or food made on a normal gas hob/in an oven. But as the title says, 'Turkish Yummies' and the book is described as being prepared at home, in case if your wondering where are all Mains are that you see on a restaurant's menu.
We have a few books from Turkey in the Turkish language. This did not add anything to them. But given this book was not written by a chef, I thought it covered the simple stuff and for any English speaking person who is not Turkish then its a good read.
I would recommend this book for people who want to cook simple Turkish food on the hob or in the oven. I would advise to also get a book on Turkish Charcoal grilling and Seafood If you don't mind getting multiple books.
