Hollywood ruins yet another one. In a battle that was so full of drama, tension, heroics, victory and glory, they somehow managed to make it into an over the top mess. If your liked “Pearl Harbor”, you will love “Midway”. The senseless subplots, romance angle, unconvincing senior leader portrayals, and embarrassing Hollywood heroics only cheapen what was accomplished in 1942. If you want a more accurate, enjoyable, and entertaining account of the battle, see the older movie with Henry Fonda.
