I understand this movie was targeted at a young audience, but wow. Every character had the emotional spectrum of a 10 year old, The silliness level was pumped up 10 fold, and it undermined any emotional gravity this movie might have had. The movie was also very emotionally manipulative. It would present the most disgustingly adorable creatures they could muster and watch you squirm at their potential fate. It's a cheap tactic. Like putting a kitten on the highway. It takes no depth or creative effort.
