This feels like a well overdue return to old Hollywood. Moving stories, strong lead characters and depth to the plot. I found myself worrying about one plot hole but it was succinctly and solidly resolved by the end. I haven't kept up with the franchise but followed the plot just fine. There were very moving moments and the motivations behind each character felt flushed out and core to their actions. I honestly haven't seen an action/fantasy movie this good in years. Well worth the watch in theaters.

A genuinely refreshing show to watch. It's not shoving anything down your throat, there isn't some big overblown drama that isn't flushed out. There is suspense and well rounded characters that have balanced screen time. On top of that the mysteries genuinely keep you on your toes. The show doesn't play stupid either. The characters actually come up with genuinely good ideas for what is going on and try to find ways to confirm or deny them with what little they have. The bits of information we see as an audience but that are not know by characters do not reveal so much that you're yelling at the screen for someone to "watch out!" The dialogue doesn't feel contrived or forced. Every complaint I've had with most shows that have come out in the last ten years or so is a complaint I do not have for From.
