I used to be an avid Super Mario fan when I was growing up in the nineties and this movie left me wanting in the end.
They started strong and the whole thing was going okay for the first hour or so and then it felt like they just lost heart, gave up and everything started going downhill super fast. I really wanted to give it five stars because after all, Mario is one of the most loveable characters of video gaming but honestly, they could have done a better job and ultimately left a better taste for us old timers when the credits started rolling.
I see all these raving, five star reviews for a mediocre film and sadly, I'm not surprised at all about the dumpster fire that's become of the entertainment industry today.
Perhaps if the consumers seriously start asking more in return for their precious time and hard earned money then the industry will finally try harder and deliver something worthwhile? Or maybe the era of decent movies has come to an end and this is all we're gonna get for the foreseeable future? I earnestly hope not.
Wreck it Ralph was made 12 years ago and while I watched it more than a few times when it had just come out I would definitely like to sit down and watch it again if I get the chance. I wonder, who's going to want to rewatch this thing after twelve years?!
