Some of the comments here make me ill; it's really brought out the racists. One person even posted that it had too many black people in it. Good grief. Just how many black people should be in a movie? There's a standard? This is not a children's movie people, so stop whining that it upset or bored your 5 year old. The movie is PG. As for the racists who have their wigs in knots, or the black people who think this is exploitation on BLM just to make money, I suggest you do a little research. It's an English story. The movie is set in, or around, Victorian times and there were inter-racial marriages in England then. My 2X great grandmother was a highly educated, academically & musically, school mistress of a girls academy in London, England ...and she was black. She married a white British Surgeon in 1854. Her children, clearly very black, married well; my great aunt married a very wealthy British business man and my great grandfather married an English pianist. I actually feel embarrassed for the people who are complaining; you're so medieval and barbaric.However, I'm more disgusted than anything. Stop paddling around in the primordial ooze.

A poor remake. It doesn't come close to the perfection of the 1994 production. The 1994 production was magic; this is terrible in comparison. Is Hollywood that unimaginative that they can't make any more original shows? Shameful attempt to trump a classic.

Good fiction movie; lots of fun. Actors are good, scenes are well played. Fun stuff. I just shake my head over people actually commenting that demons are real and it could happen to them. "beware before watching the film"...yeeks, Don't drink the koolaid folks, it's a fun fiction, haul your minds into reality.

I'm giving the movie 5 stars because it's upsetting the traditionalists who don't like to see the Indian culture being shown as real people, with real problems. Come out of the closet; you're just like everyone else. I've known people in that culture, just like them. Aside from my delighting in being petty towards the other people making comments, well a couple of them, it's a pretty good movie. Fun, lively, the protagonist actress is good and it kept my attention until the end. It's worth a watch.

Horrible. I don't know what must be worse; the immaturity of the characters or the assumed immaturity of those people who like this rubbish. Over acting, unrealistic behaviour; childishness. I couldn't make it past 30 minutes.

Amazing how many people cannot get past their simple thoughts and their need for fighting aliens. You have to be able to watch the movie with more intellect than that; with a greater capacity for dreaming of a reality in the future; as opposed to the next zombie movie or alien invasion. This is a great movie with a plot and a story carried through with a sense of wonder and "what if". While the characters did need more development; this movie showcased the artists ability to take us into space. The ship is fabulous, space is breathtaking; just relax and go on a trip.They could have just had a dog wandering around or chasing the robots and you'd still have the same beautiful view into space.
