Some of the comments here make me ill; it's really brought out the racists. One person even posted that it had too many black people in it. Good grief. Just how many black people should be in a movie? There's a standard?
This is not a children's movie people, so stop whining that it upset or bored your 5 year old. The movie is PG.
As for the racists who have their wigs in knots, or the black people who think this is exploitation on BLM just to make money, I suggest you do a little research. It's an English story. The movie is set in, or around, Victorian times and there were inter-racial marriages in England then.
My 2X great grandmother was a highly educated, academically & musically, school mistress of a girls academy in London, England ...and she was black. She married a white British Surgeon in 1854. Her children, clearly very black, married well; my great aunt married a very wealthy British business man and my great grandfather married an English pianist.
I actually feel embarrassed for the people who are complaining; you're so medieval and barbaric. However, I'm more disgusted than anything. Stop paddling around in the primordial ooze.
