the plot was boring overall and technically there was no goal to reach in that movie. i believe it was trying to be an apocalyptic world that failed we didn’t get much information about the danger of the surface from what i could pick up all there was were mutated creatures and nothing more. aimee’s character was kinda boring therefore how can i support him on his dangerous journey to meet her, i don’t think the part of the australian dude (i can’t remember his name) was necessary, maybe it was to show us as an audience what joel had learnt over his survival journey, i don’t think there was any point of him going to aimee’s colony then realising he made a mistake then a few days later he went back to his original colony. the cgi was good and the monsters were definitely creatively designed so i’ll give them that. overall, i don’t think the plot of the movie was going anywhere and it wasn’t very appealing (it was boring) which is why i would give it a 5/10 rating
