No rich historical commentary - no real idea of who Napoleon was -just two dreadfully depressed individuals (Napoleon and Josephine) who had nothing to say to each other -and no one else in the movie had speaking lines! I'm a history buff and appreciate a well scripted movie but this offered neither and was lacking in so many other areas that one would almost have to see the movie to believe how lacking it was. The only plus were the grand architectural buildings, period clothing and the beautiful French countryside.
