Fantastic, deep and captivating movie. Even though it’s 3 hours long, one gets totally immersed into the history, the story, the feelings and the inner thoughts of each character. The performance of Herr Professor is magnificent. In fact, it is a Top Notch cast. Watching the art forming from birth, then its evolution, you can’t help but feeling that you’re traveling through the same journey of emotions. A delight to watch.

There’s something captivating about it. However, it is not satisfying. most things stop short from fitting well, it doesn’t flow and is too fragmented. On the other hand, it has excellent presentation of current society issues, clashes, the debates that are specially common now between teenagers/gen Z, the pressures to feel guilty for not being underprivileged etc…. That part is done very well. Star 1 One thing that I really wish it was different, is that drum beat theme that repeats endlessly throughout the show even as a dialogue is ongoing. It is maddening!!!! Scream… One needs to turn the sound off and put the close caption on. Thank God for the fast forward clicks. The Hawaiian choir music however is beautiful. Star 2 So much contradiction. Because of this drumbeat with the pop ohpop ahaah popoh over and over alone, I couldn’t give it more stars I tried, but it is absolutely maddening .

I am just done with the first season. What a beautiful series! Thank you for creating something so special, imagining the life of Jesus outside of what we know. Showing his goodness, teaching the word of God, the miracles he made. Making us think and connecting events of everyday life. Even some lightness and laughter, much different than traditional religious shows, I don’t want it to end. I hear the words and I am learning and being reminded again of my Christ. The meeting with Nickodemus, whether it happened like this or not, just showing the battle in his head whether to leave it all and follow him. Maria Magdolina‘s healing, canna’s wedding, Peter and Andrew’s boat overfilling. It’s just emotional, brings both tears and smiles and a sense of peace and hope. What an inspiring and clean show to watch. We need more of this goodness in our lives.
