This film is incredibly well made, especially considering it was made quite some time ago. Although I have to say it’s a really impressive film, I’m not sure I’d recommend it unless you want to be depressed for days.
Usually nuclear films are Americanised with cgi and flashy actors and stuff, this film on the other hand is incredible real and gritty,
it’s completely depressing from start to finish. I was filled with a sense of dread as they built up to the bombings and afterwards just a sense of disbelief at the sheer brutality of it all. I am now trying to watch a comedy to cheer myself up but I just keep imagining all the characters dying in a nuclear war.
