Absolutely brilliant! A career defining performance from Shah Rukh Khan, indeed a fine ensemble cast. The film manages comedy, tragedy, action, and a strong political message. It's a love story, a political drama, a realist statement on the still lingering effects of westrrn colonialism, and a portrait of how lessons of history have yet to be learned. Also how a damming statement of how little human life is valued. depending on an person's financial status - freedom is only for those who can afford it. I tip Shah Rukh Khan for an Oscar, and the film should win Best film in another language!! SEE IT!
