The word that kept coming to mind was lazy. The acting, if that’s the right term, is lazy. Pitt and Clooney play Pitt and Clooney. The story was more about them than anything else with a self ego stroking homage to Newman and Redford in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The story is convoluted and tough to follow. The cinematography is admirable. If you’ve got nothing else to do or you’re a fan of these fat cats it’s worth a watch but don’t expect too much.
