Played the first game & while I'm not a fan of the clumsy 'survivor style' gameplay, the story just about made up for it. Unfortunately the sequal ruined it & it's hard to find someone positive to say other than graphics. Not only is the ending from 1 retconned for likely progressive reasons, the secret files/tapes have been been made irrelevant. Ellie doesn't even seem to remember Marlene. Fireflies don't seem to remember that their efforts to find a cure were futile, nor that Ellie is immune. Not to mention the 'trap' that Joel falls into at start of game that completely breaks character. & this was just the start of the game! When will people learn that 'subverting expectations' by disrespecting years of world & character building is not good storytelling!
