I adored the Virgin River books and while the series had potential, there wasn't much they didn't change from the original storylines, which were much better than the invented made for television ones. Hope and Doc were never a couple, I dont remember Brady, and quite a few of the backstories were messed around with unnecessarily - for instance Mel's sister was.not a binge drinker and had a very happy marriage, her husband's cause of death different, Jack and his father got on very well, Paige's husband was not a cop. Quite disappointing. I hope Mike and Bree appear next as they are supposed to but I fear not..... I fear the producers lost their key audience - the readership.
