I’m one of those that would rather watch the movie instead of read the book, but this time around, I read the book and then watched the movie, and this was absolutely one of those examples where the book was better than the movie. The movie had a completely different ending and there were so many details left out that the book elaborated on. While I wanted to like the movie, I just felt it could’ve done better to tell the story. But I guess that’s why they changed the name of the movie different from the book “My Abandonment” since the plot went in a different direction.
