It was one of the most riveting films I have ever experienced, with a powerful acting performance by not only the protagonist but others as well. The cinematography swept me off my feet as I felt I stood in the Adirondacks in the year 1757 as the war raged. The sound track pulsated with an energy and passion that mirrored the intense love that develops between Nathaniel and the woman he cares so deeply about he is ready to surrender his own life for. We showed the film, with parental consent, in our history classes. The teens were pleased.
