Having lived through the early days of the AIDS crisis, and been kind of "brought up" in the arts by 4 older, accomplished gay men, I can honestly say I have never seen anything on video or film that conveys the truth of what it meant at a certain moment in time to love deeply and have to hide and camouflage it. FELLOW TRAVELERS gets
the story right, as do the two main characters, each in his own way molded, hurt and saved by their long-term, era-spanning romance. I think it js must-see TV - Matt B and the dazzling Jonathan Bailey bring it home, shine a light on it, and dare you to
look. So do look. And we STILL do not have an AIDS vaccine.....
