Surely when they made this they would have realised thousands of rail fans would watch? The series was riddled with inaccuracies about how railways work. It would have been so easy to find out a bit about the real sleeper trains. Easy to ask someone in the know what would and wouldn’t happen in certain situations, and easy to find out about the safety and fail safe systems which wouldn’t allow the various scenarios that occurred to even happen! That on top of some of the stupid things that the characters did really spoilt what could have been a similar story but portrayed accurately! As an example, if you split a train the brakes will come on in both sections automatically. Not in this program. Even though the control system had been hacked, what happened to the dozens of trains elsewhere on the network that the Sleeper would have ran into or passed on the other tracks? And when they knew the train was hurtling towards Victoria Station why was there not an emergency service in sight? Finally, when the two characters met at the end and one admitted he was responsible, in a deserted station, how did the armed police know to turn up to arrest him and where he was? It could have been so much better…..
