I’m going to take a complete different view than most people I’m sure. I hated the movie and felt bad that I asked my husband to go to it. Let me clarify. I’ve been a Barbie collector since I was a little girl. I’m in my late’60’s. So I was in the first wave as they depicted in the movie. No we did not destroy our baby dolls when Barbie appeared on the market. I found it insulting to imply that we did. I don’t know what the writers were thinking about but Ken has always been Barbie’s boyfriend. He always was and always will be unless G.I.Joe came home on leave that is. Who could resist your brother’s Joe? They completely ignored the dolls of the beginning collectors. I was hoping to see them. They were no where to be seen.
I felt insulted for me. Ken did have his own house at one point. He had so much.
The only character I did like was Weird Barbie. At least she made it entertaining.
I’ve been told that I am missing the point of the movie. If I am, I don’t think it is worth it.
One more thing, there are so many varieties of Barbie because of the success of women. Barbie didn’t make it possible for women to be successful. Who do they think they’re fooling?
It was a nice add though Mateo, I will give you that.
Wish I could get my money back,
