Great movie. Better than the original and makes you empathize with Kate's trauma of losing someone you know in a natural disaster.
There was tension, greed, romance, suspense, and messaging the importance of having good morals to help out strangers in a crisis.
Unlike 2012 and San Andreas which just over-exaggerated these disasters this was a bit more realistic 95% of the time. I am not a tornado chase. In fact, I don't chase anything that can be naturally catastrophic. That said, I don't know if an EF4 of EF5 tornado can really suck someone out from a freeway underpass.
Spoiler alert:
I'm kind of glad the director didn't steer the movie into the childhood friends become romantic as they grow older rehashed movie. The childhood crush teen, now a man, just seemed awkward. Not the actor's fault, it was the writer's fault or whomever approved his lines. all other cast did a good job and we're ready for another Twisters. I'd give it a 4.4 stars and rounded up.
