This is a modern update of the Agatha Christie classic 'The murder of Roger Ackroyd'. However, it reads that the writer was determined to emulate the original. Instead of using his own instinct, you feel that he missed the opportunity to write a fascinating and absorbing classic of his own.

Oh, what an absolute delight 😊! This is a complete change from series one, putting Cornwall, in all its finery on full display and a taut, funny script that plays perfectly on the murder mystery format. Congratulations to the whole team.

There was surprisingly little advertisment for this truly wonderful series. Acting at its very best, and an excellent script. I do hope we get lots more, and for the BBC to be proud and let viewers know it's on!! Just the most joyously upbeat programme of all the channels. Fabulous! Thank you BBC and thank you everyone involved.
