I LOVE psychological thrillers, and it’s unfortunate that a significant chunk of people giving this movie negative reviews fail to understand the intent behind this genre. If it’s done right, it’s supposed to make you think, to imagine, to let your imagination wander until the big plot twist. The ending is MEANT to leave you guessing, books have done it for years and we didn’t call those plot holes or lack of an ending, we’re supposed to try and figure out what’s going on and who the antagonist was, that’s not a lack of character depth in side characters. I was very confused until we hit *that* plot twist and my jaw was dropped for the rest of the movie. I absolutely loved this and I think it’s one of the few psychological thrillers released recently that’s been done well. No surprise that Florence Pugh did fantastic in this, and I was pleasantly surprised about Harry’s acting skills and I’d be keen to see him perform in this genre more. A few things I would’ve liked to see better, but considering how well the plot was handled in the end, I think the good heavily outweighed the bad in this movie.
