Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is exactly what I thought it would be, and for that I am thrilled. JJ Abrams was able to slow down his normally frenetic film pacing to deliver a thoughtful story that succeeded in repairing the story damage from the last film. The film also provided an exciting but fitting close to the entire Skywalker saga. As a bonus, Chewbacca gets to be more than just set dressing in this installment. It’s taken a long time for that wookie to get the credit he deserves. Go see it!
