I genuinely think that these developers don’t play the actual game. The mode Road to Glory which I was super excited to play was just utterly disappointing. At first everything seemed perfect I got to start my college career at a more less known school as I was trying to work my way up. However when put in a game I feel like the player has no control of anything which makes the game almost impossible to play. I played one season at Northwestern and next year committed to Michigan and both teams the coach just loves to run the ball only. No matter what situation the offense is put in it seems as if the coach only wants to run. The playbook is horrible and the variety of different plays we can pick is so limited. I get you have to earn coach’s trust but I earned 30,000 and they still run the ball 70% of the time. It just sucks the fun out of this game. I understand the creators wanted to create a realistic experience, however I feel like they focused on that a little too much giving us very limited control on the gameplay. For example there’s always a situation where I need to throw the ball deep to get a first down like a 3rd and 15th but the coach always offers only run plays. The only time it seems that the coach will call passing plays is when there’s less than two minutes on the second quarter and that’s literally it. Even if I use some of coach’s trust to pick different plays it almost always only gives me running plays. Sometimes the coach will offer me a PA play but wow… they really need to work on their PA options. It just takes way too long and it’s almost a guaranteed sack if I even select a PA play. I feel like a good idea for the coach trust is being able to call your own plays when you earn a certain amount. I get that it’s the first game out after many long years but I feel like these simple issues can be fixed if the developers actually play the game…
